Roy Halpin has been paddling and coaching for 20 years. He began his career in the southeast and spent a few years working his way north before settling in Yorkshire. His recent paddling experiences include New Zealand, India and of course a few Yorkshire ditches. Roy's skills and interest in training extend beyond the river. When not on the water, he leads a teacher education department, running a Cert Ed/PGCE course and leading advanced skills sessions for other teachers. His unflappable coaching style and infectious enthusiasm for the outdoors will soon have you thinking about paddling in a whole new way.

Ian ‘Indian’ Jones has a recent ticklist of rivers that most white water enthusiasts can only dream of, including some of the best paddling in the Alps, Turkey, Canada, the US, India, Nepal, Zambia, Uganda and Chile. You might think all this would put him off paddling chilly UK waters, but not a bit of it - Indy paddles the rivers and creeks of Scotland, England and Wales whenever and with whomever he can! A talented coach, Ian has a story to inspire you or a bad joke to take your mind off your difficulties, whatever the occasion. Read more about Ian's exploits at www.itsonlyahill.co.uk.
